It is manufactured using materials of the highest quality including a solid american walnut body, with 17 Japanese steel keys tuned to C major, a tuning hammer and durable carry case made from EVA fabric. The kalimba is often associated with the Mbira, a traditional African instrument that has been played by various ethnic groups, including the Shona people of Zimbabwe. The Mbira has been used for centuries as part of traditional ceremonies, storytelling and social gatherings.
